Reading and Language Arts
Mrs. Ugrich's reading class uses the ReadyGen series as the basis for this class. 3rd graders will read a variety of fiction and non-fiction selections, learn different comprehension strategies and how to use them, and make connections.
We will also incorporate Daily 5/CAFE strategies throughout the year in order to build independence as readers and provide individualized instruction to students. To learn more about Daily5 and CAFE, please go to TheDailyCafe.com. Students will also write a variety of projects including narrative, explanatory/informative, and opinion pieces.
