Math
Mrs. Ugrich's math class uses the Pearson enVision Math series. Students will master place value through 100,000, add and subtract multi-digit numbers, practice multiplication and division facts, understand fractions and fractional amounts, as well as develop skills in other concepts. This will be enhanced with the use of Math Daily 3 to increase math independence and add specific, individualized instruction.

iXL: Students will use iXL as a tool to help build math strategies. iXL is personalized to each student and allows students to progress through lessons as they master skills and concepts.
Freckle Education: At this site, students will be able to take short placement tests to determine their current level at a variety of math concepts. Then he or she can progress through lessons to master new skills and concepts. It is also a great place to work on math fact fluency. Please log in with your child's first and last name, as well as the class code ugrict. Prodigy: At this website, students can log in and play games that help teach match skills and strategies that we're using in class. Sumdog: Students use Sumdog in Media and Strength Based Center to work on math concepts. Math Games: These are instructions to several games played in class to increase number sense and math fact fluency. Eduplace.com: Students can use this site to play math games or get extra practice on the concepts we have been working on. Sumdog: Students were given usernames and passwords to access this site which is full of great math games for extra practice. There are monthly contests that students can participate in as well. If your child lost his or her username and password, please let me know so I can get you that information. |
